I ended up with 4.27 inches of rain in a 24 hour period ending at 3pm today (Wed). Lake Arlington was 4.21 feet low at the time the rain started. It is now .94 of a foot over the spillway and still rising. I will likely be hitting my swim out there next week.

It looks like this was a heavy rain event for the whole area. Hopefully Lavon and the other lakes to the East scored some good runoff.

I got just over 3" in my rain meter. Northeast San Antonio. This rain is a huge help to our area. I just hope we continue to get rain for the rest of the year. So far so good. cheers

Well the problem is that lakes like lewisville that are like 15 feet low, after all of this rain it has to be let out to fill the lakes down river. The higher up lakes kinda get shafted for a while.

Yeah, 15 feet low is a joke... Turn those numbers around for the Travis levels (and that's just the annual average) Spillway is somewhere around 715, lake is at 626.8.

Travis and Medina are still in dire straits. We need a few days of 3" to help them out.

looks like west DFW did well. Joe Pool, Grapevine, and Arlington is nice and fat from the rain. Lavon is a mess still hanging in the 8' range.

We need many more of these "rain events" to add up to bring out rain levels. Ack to normal.

Here are a couple of before and after pics of my Lake Arlington fishin hole. After pic was taken today (Thursday). Lake is 2 ft over the spillway and is slowly falling back towards normal. The lake is 12ft higher than when the low water pic was taken.

With the lakes being back up the fishing might pick up a bit too.Not to hijack the post, but if you use K-1 Baits you might want to buy some before it gets sold to someone else.
