Kayak fished the lower Brazos Tuesday with guide Shane Davies. Great trip,
we knew going in it was going to be a big fish hunting trip not a numbers game. But the ones we caught were worth waiting for. The weather stayed cloudy but calm most of the day and we fished in and out of rain through the afternoon. Biggest fish was my friend Greg's 37" stiper, what a fish, what a fight, it was great to be there. I also caught a 9 pound LMB, it was a hog. We weren't landing fish right and left but we all had numerous times through out the day when our reels were screaming out line on heavy bent rods only to have the hook thrown or torn out on the run. Left you just shaking your head. Shane knows what hes doing and he took great care of us. We used his kayaks and his gear.
