My goal this year is to continue my 48 year streak of not catching a Double Digit bass. I sure hope I can keep my streak going. Got scared 3 springs ago and caught a 9.83.

That's right, reverse your goal. I've tried everything in the book including that one. All I can tell ya is, keep plugging, learn everything you can from every good fisherman you meet, and fish where they live in good numbers. You'll catch one eventually if you will persevere.

This entire year cast in the opposite direction you were going to aim for.

Man I know this is a fishing forum but I had something else totally in mind when I clicked on this thread....

Especially when fishing from the bank.

Good luck keeping your streak going. I know the feeling. I've got a longer streak going than that. Moved to TX recently so I hope the streak ends soon. Headed to Amistad this weekend for a week long challenge.

I share that same goal. Maybe we can start a support group.

Very solid advice from Jersey Dan. I will be using this strategy this year for fishing as well as in my financial choices which have left me a broken man.

Already in the arsenal. Any other suggestions? Looks like someone else has already received the mojo for now. Maybe I can get the next shot at it.

I went into last year without ever catching a DD and decided to make it my goal. Very first fish of the year in January. Then a few months later caught another. Now I live down on Amistad and plan on catching a few more.

Foul Foul. You get a 3 pound penalty for living down there. You now need a 13 to qualify.

Hopefully... Fish every weekend. Out of a kayak but still fish.

Like others have said before... Boats don't catch fish.

If you want to keep your record going don't ever fish at night on Fork in March.

For the time being, I've got nothing to worry about. I only fish the local lakes.
DD's describes how many bass I catch per month.

When all else fails I've seen some bigger bass come off of c-rig rocky main lake points. It's slow but when you catch them it's usually good.

Haven't caught a DD since May 26,1990. I'm due one, or I'll get the wife a pair!

Here in PA, we are thrilled if we catch a 4 or 5 lb. bass. 6 lbs usually tops the charts once every 10 years or so.

I don't know if I would know to handle and reel in a 10 lbs or larger bass.

I couldn't live anywhere where my biggest bass of the year is a 4 possible 5. Sorry Lucas time to move that company down south bud.
