I am in the process of purchasing the last piece of privately owned property prior to entering the main entrance of the Blue River Wildlife Management Area. The property currently has a log cabin on it and I am thinking of adding more if there is some rental interest. If there were some small log cabins available at the entrance of the Blue River WMA how many of you avid fly fisherman and hunters be interested?

This could be a good thing! Are they going to be very fancy or just digs to crash in every night?

I wouldn’t call them fancy; I would describe them as clean and utilitarian. Probably 1 bedroom 1 bath with a loft and kitchenette (about 300sf) sleep up to 4.

I think its a great idea. Lodging choices are slim up there, and to have a cabin available right at the gate...that'd be really nice.

The Blue River WMA is near Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

It is a long way from Lubbock, but within a couple of hours from DFW.

Not at all. It's up the road, just a few miles east of Tishomingo OK.
Scotty's Store is sort of unofficial HQ. Here's that website with maps and links:
