I know Amistad is about 10-11 ft low right now, going there in March, just wondering if anyone if putting in at the pecos high bridge and coming back down? Done it many times but not with the water this low.

I really like it at 15' low. You should be fine running it. I've fished it at 42' low low before with plenty of water but some area's you couldn't get to.

Amistad is about 12 foot low. This is not low for Amistad but launching at the high bridge on the Pecos is getting tricky. The water there is not very deep to begin with,my friend launched at Box Canyon and traveled up river. He caught White bass and Stripers near Seminole Canyon, known as Panther Cave. I would recommend calling the park service for info. We will be there the 4th of Feb and if I have to I will launch at Box and run up river.

I launched at the Pecos in Nov and going up river was fine depths in the 20-30s. Did go down the Rio Grand and that got me a little nervous. For one GPS was not getting any reception for some reason only depth therefore I could not see the contour lines to see where the channel was located it was only 10ft deep and I was not find anything much more deeper. I did make it down to the Parida Cave. I was trying to make it down to Panther cave but do to the speed I had to do I turned around there and went up the Pecos. Being by myself with GF and two you young boys I was not having a warm and fussy. One cave was enough, Panther next time.
