About an hour's drive south of Freeport, in Sargent, Capt. Gene Allen guides in East Matagorda Bay and is the best guide that I have ever hired. Know the bay, knows the fish, works very hard to put you on fish and is a real gentleman.
Depending on what you want to fish for, I think the best redfishing you can do and sites you can see would be with Capt. Scott Null. He goes where most boats can't go. He was a kayak fisherman but has moved to a very nice boat that floats where basically only a kayak should and you'll see amazing sites.
