I think the Renaissance near Love Field is in a shady neighborhood...
Your wife and daughters certainly won't be walking anywhere from there.
If you want them to have easy access to fun stuff to do while you are in class, you might consider staying Downtown or in Victory Park or Uptown

I hate driving to there even with all the doors locked and the windows rolled up. You will taint your entire experience with Dallas by staying there. I don't care how cheap the hotel is, don't. I'm fearless, I go fishing at night by myself, and I hate driving through there in broad daylight.

The Renaissance is NOT in the Love Field area.

These for culture experience. Dining can be top notch pending on what fare is to be eaten. List food ideas and Resturaunts will be recommended.

The Renaissance is I 35 and Market Hall area. Not bad location. Convienent to AAC for sporting events. Close to Downtown area. Yeah that's not bad. I guess I was thinking of the one right across the street from Love Field... Whatever hotel that is Something Downtown on Main St would still be a little better for the womens, but certainly pricier.

Couldn't agree more...go to Pappas Bros, get the lobster bisque, order lobster mac n cheese as a side to your steak. Neither are on the menu...both are phenomenal. Steaks are some of the best I've had in DFW.

if your looking for chick retail stores, just drive up Preston Road. they will drain your pockets quick. if you want a cool restaurant to go eat at, try the one at the top of the Reunion Tower that rotates.

Dallas SUKS! Do yourself a favor and go over to Ft Worth for a day. It's WAY better. Sundance Square has free parking, lots of shops, great restaurants, and a much better feel. Make reservations at the Reata. Eat on the roof if it's nice out. It's only about a 40-minute drive and WELL worth it.
