I bet that guy in the buster boat with the Cowboy hat was there. I saw over 50 crappie come out of the water Sunday. More than half went back in.
With all the run off I'm seeing the area lakes should net on the rise
I went down Hickery creek from old Alton to the lake this pass Sunday. It was terrible. Down 5 feet from last winter. Stopped at Old Alton this morning and it was up about 15 feet. A ranging torrent just maybe 10 feet from the bottom of the bridge. That amount of water will do real good to the lake. Sorry it was to dark to take a picture.

Lake Arrowhead was down to 51% capacity at the end of summer and now with all the recent rain the last few weeks it is back up to 62%. Still a ways down but it is slowly but surley filling back up. Kinda of neat to be a foot from shore and have the water depth at 20+ feet.

Yeah ... lucky I'm older and wiser now ... 25 years or so ago, and I might have been on the news last night.
I can remember canoeing the Buffalo River in Middle Tennessee with a bunch of buddies while I was in College and a rain similar to what we've had the last couple of days came up the night before our run (luckily we were camping on a high bank WAY above river level). We made what was supposed to be an 8 hour trip in just over two hours. Long wait for the shuttle service to pick us up ... sitting like wet rats on the bank. I will never forget seeing a dead drowned cow lodged in some tree branches about 10-15 feet out of the (still high and fast) waters. Can only imagine what that river was doing the night before while we slept.
