Howdy do, fishing forum! I know this warm weather we're having is really starting to make those fish squirm, and I don't think the spawn is all that far off. When stocking your tackle boxes this year, I would like for you to consider Thump Buddies, by Light's Out Tackle. I made these baits with the intentions of using them on guided trips, meaning they had to stand up to everything our customers, and our fish, would throw at them.
I needed a bait that would stand up to numerous fish, because it takes to much time to keep replacing them. I needed colors that worked in many situations, overcoming changes in light and water clarity. Most of all, I needed a bait that catches fish, so that my customers can be successful. All things considered, the Thump Buddy was born.
These baits are some of the most durable baits you can find, second only to Rocky Top. They will not have air bubbles, nor will they have concave sides. The colors are consistent, and the tails will not set still. I make every single one of these baits with my own hands, and if I think one will not catch numerous fish, it doesn’t leave my shop.
These baits run for $3.19 (tax included) with each package including 16 Thump Buddies. You can find these baits at Wulf Outdoors in Athens, email me at lane.palmer86@yahoo.com, or you can PM me here on the forum.
I highly recommend rigging these baits with a collarless jig head, with either a #2 or a #4 hook. A collared jig head works too, just take the time to put the bait on flush.

C.R. Special: My favorite here on Cedar Creek.

Old Faithful: An all-around favorite for East Texas waters, such as Fork, LOP, and any crappie holding pond around Mineola.

Crazy Thunder Chicken: A go to bait in muddy water situations.

Midnight Special: Shoot this jig under a dock on a sunny day, the silhouette is serious business.

Dirty Deed: Gets the job done, dirt cheap.

Tax Collector: A clear water killer.

Swamp Thang: I made this bait while goofing around with some color configurations, and it has turned out to be a hidden gem.

Double Jeopardy: Bust this bait out on a sunny day, and watch it shine!

Mr. Blue Lightnin’: Lake Palestine…

Nightmare: Not too shabby under a dock light, with a chartreuse head.

My apologies ya'll, I'm trying to figure it out. The pictures showed up fine on the "preview post," so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

Love the Midnight special, has put fish in the boat at CC when I couldn't get them to bite anything else.

I was knee deep in moving my new wife's furniture down from Dallas yesterday, sorry about the delay. Bulk pricing is $10.00 for every 100 baits.

I can also do custom baits, if you'll send me a picture of what you like, or a detailed list of what you're looking for. Custom baits are $4.87(that price includes tax), and there's a 3 bag minimum (48 baits).

Good Stuff Lane Palmer! I think a legend in baits has been born. I can't wait to get a new boat and get my fix for my addiction to tackle. You see my name is Bobby and I am a Tackle Ho! laugh

Picked up a couple of bags of C R Special & Double Jeopardy from Lane at last Falls Fishing Show in Athens. Have had good luck with them, and good texture. You can catch SEVERAL crappie per bait. Think they will even be better when we have more sun. Should have bought a couple of darker colors to fish during the winter.

I forgot to mention one important point, that was brought up to me by Mr. Skinner. The correct way to fish these baits is to have the hook coming out of the flat back (belly down).

KingofFish, you can order the baits from Wulf Outdoors, email me at lane.palmer86@yahoo.com, or PM me here on the forum.

Thank you TFF for all of your support!

These baits are great! Lane has left a few in the boat an I have borrowed a few and they will flat out catch fish. Like Lane said when on a guide trip you want a tough bait so you don't spend a lot of time changing baits. This is a great bait and hope he leaves a few more in the boat! thumb
