Hwy guys, I've fished for bass my whole life and fished for catfish very little but caught a few along the way. Lately I have thought it would be fun to toss some cut shad or stink bait out while fishing. My question for you experts is what is the best type of catfish to keep and around what size? Thanks for the suggestions in advance!

any channel, blue, or yellow cat under 10 lbs is delicious.

Hey Dan you have a great lake there by you in Plano. Get some shad and have at it at Lavon. While I am no expert in the least I'll give you my opinion freely. Keep what you need to feed the family and take pictures of the rest. My personal preference is blues in the 2.5 to 6lb range for the table. They are easy to clean.
