Anyone ever used one of these? Thinking of buying one for my dad. He filets a lot of catfish once a year, and Needs a new knife. Thanks!

After checking out the site I can tell you they are Chinese made - they don't say they are made there but they list their steel as 8CR13MOV which is a chinese made steel.

8CR13MOV is a mid grade steel similar to American 440C or Japanese AUS-8. Probably not bad filet knives but they should be selling in the 20-25 dollar price range instead of the $50-$65 bucks they're asking.

Looks to me like they are spending a large part of their budget on marketing. Lotta flash. Could be good, but their are a lot of other cheaper options out there. I use an electric knife when I have a bunch of fish to filet.
