Don't Tie it . It isn't suppose to have a knot . Put tag end through slot. Pull up on the tag end till it is snug. If you pull to hard it will cinch up and break off.Which is what it is designed to do. Hope you can understand what I'm trying to say.

The best one I've tried, and now use, is the Bass Pro Finese Drop Weight (page 202 of the new Angler catalog (Spring). It does not require a knot, very quick to rig up.

Assuming you are using dropshot weights, do what he said. If that doesn't work...use some 80lb braid.
Don't spend money on the expensive weights. Just get the lead bass casting sinkers with the brass loop. They just end up all getting hung up and broken off anyway. Save your money since the fish are not "supposed" to hit the weight. That's what I use and there is no adverse bite using the cheap ones.
I like using split shot for my drop shot weights. It is added easily to the line, less expensive than drop shot weights, and will slip off the end of the line without breaking it if it gets hung up.
I put a reverse clinch through the opening, i figure if it snags the knot will slide up and cut itself at the top. Also I think it helps with the lay down profile by making a larger cross section with less weight, thus less chance getting stuck in rocks
