used it today. its sandy but worked fine. i also another boat unload at the spillway ramp. also someone took it upon themselves to cut off some trees right above the water line as you head to main creek on the south end of the lake. if the lake comes up a foot or more someone is gonna tear something up or possible even be killed. cant figure out why they would cut down 5 or 6 trees out nt he water

We actually made the drive out there and decided not to try it. Didnt want to chance it so far from the house. We went to Amon Carter instead and caught a few. How did yall do out there?

Hey Dallas, Jay is my brother. We headed down to the lake yesterday but we didn't risk launching as he mentioned above. Out of curiosity, what type of vehicle did you use to launch with... 4x4?

Also... What does the south end look like? I would imagine that the flat is completely out of the water and the only water remaining is the creek channel. If so, how wide is the channel and how far south can you go in both creeks?

Thanks in advance

i used my 4x4 but im not sure you would need it at oakshores or the spillway. from what i understand is if you launch atthe spill way with a tandem axle youll be fine. at oak shores i launched my single axle. like i said there is alot of sand on the end of the ramp but im not sure if thats the end of the concrete. most of the flat is out of the water or has very little left. once you pass nocona hills creek (small creek off to the left be fore the main creek) there is nothing but the main channel. you make a hard right then a hard left and it runs about 50 yards down from that and thats it! horrible!! do have a two wheel drive?
