Are there any good size crappie in Waxahachie lake? Good #'s at all? I've been out there a couple of times to bass fish with not much luck. Just wondering if I'm wasting my time out there on crappie. I was thinking maybe by the dam was best for them but I have no clue.

I think it's a good bet you can catch some crappie out there.

The lake is a good crappie lake. I have caught some big ones there. You just have to search for them.

This lake can be difficult this time of the year they are deep there are some deep holes at the dam you have to search for the right spot they move a lot just find the old creek by the dam and you will find the crappie

Can anyone give me a report on the water levels of the creek that runs under 35 and dumps into the lake? Hoping there is enough water for the usual outstanding sandie spawn run. Love that place in the spring!

Lake water is still low and creek is low. Middle ramp still usable. Lots of brush and structure in main lake. Some really nice fish in Waxy. Local to me so have spent lots of time there. Some deep water there and lots of shad. Gotta fine em and the can be elusive.

Ok. Y'all be sure and update this weekend. Trying to figure out where I want to go when I get this boat registered.
