It may be difficult getting info out there this time of year due to the multitude of tournaments out there in addition to people being kind of tight lipped about the lake anyway. The lake gets absolutely hammered by tourneys from about now through summer.

I haven't been out there in a while so I can't give you any specific advice but usually lipless crankbaits, squarebills, chatterbaits and senkos do well out there. There is grass and lots of brushpiles on the lake. Docks usually hold fish but right now many of them are high and dry. Hillcreek is your best bet for launching without tearing something up.

I bet your post gets lots of views LOL. Good luck!

Red traps over the grass on the new lake side.... if you find a concentration of fish throw a slow moving bait for the bigger fish.

Like stated above not going to get much info on Tyler right now with all the tourneys going on.

Because Tyler is so small, it is hard to replicate a pattern, and many people feel that it is a "spot" lake. It's hard to tell someone what to do with out giving away the spot. That combined with the tournament pressure is my theory on the tight lips about the lake.

There is grass in depths up to about ten feet. If you can find it (and it is my opinion that there is more on the west/old lake this year), fish it as described in the posts above.

I caught my first fish on Tyler off the northern point of the southern most cove on the east side of the west lake. I think that is a good spot to try.
