I know, I'm sorry, but I'm still desperately trying to find out if I'm about to lose ALL my waypoints. Has ANY of you done the download thing where you download all your waypoints onto a zip drive and then into your laptop?? If so, how big is that .usr file??

I cannot seem to figure out if my file has ANYTHING saved in it. I've done the process 4 times now, but since I can't figure out how to make Lowrance's GMR6 or whatever software work and view actual waypoints, I'd just like to feel better by hearing how large YOUR file size is on your laptop after you've downloaed your waypoints??

So, if you've EVER done this, could you please share that answer?? I'll do the math. If you tell me your best guess of how many waypoints are on your file and then how big your filesize is, in KB, I would sure appreciate it!

The file will be pretty small. I have over 1000 on an old 64mb SD card.

I'm no good at this. KB vs MB?? ugh. It's on that card, but how much of it is it taking up? I guess I'm hoping somebody has a laptop and can see the actual file and say my file is ___ size on the laptop.

300 waypoints and you are going to be in the 100 KB range.

I have over 900 waypoints on a 4gig card and it will hold plenty more.

You did say it was a zip file so 37 KB could be correct.

gpx files are xml data so they are very small files. Most likely the max stored WP your unit would hold would be less then 2mb in size.
