OK....so I got my first senior discount the other day. My annual Lewisville Lake Park ramp permit was only $25 compared to $50.I turn 60 on January 30.Got to wondering just how many guys here are 60 and over. I think we have earned the right to have our own topic section just like the women do.So can I get a roll call of just how many there are.Must be 60 please...

I'm 6000 and still growing. dirt got nothin on me, I know mts that are younger.

I'm over 60 and haven't used the old folks discounts yet. But, I'm thinking strongly about it. Don't know why I don't take advantage of it, might be some subconcious thing where I don't want to admit my real age.

I buy ammo with what I save on the old fogey savings.

People don't believe I'm over 60 - I get carded all the time.

Some of you guys need to get with the program. Lots of places offer discounts at 50 and 55. You could have saved thousands on meals alone....and by golly, we EARNED it !

A couple of years ago it made me mad if some one asked if I wanted the discount. I agree with Old Frog by god I've earned it and want all I can get. No I'm not 60 yet but getting there at a high rate of speed.

Several years ago I went to lunch with a couple of girl from work. They were in their 50's and I was in my 40's. After we finished eating, the waitress blew her chance at a tip by offering them their senior citizen discount. The one that was especially vain about her looks, looked like she had just been slapped in the face. I just looked down like I had not heard anything.

I am over 60 now and proud of it. I will take any discount that is offered.

Stupid old dawg like me I went into a restaurant and was flirting big time with the waitress because she flirted with me just a little instead of my partner. I was ready to fall in love until she brought our ticket. I was so pizzed and of course my bud laughed for three or four days over it. It may have been my first discount. That was about 8 years ago.

10 months until I hit 60....and I ask about over 55 discounts...for fishing gear...:)

There's one that a lot of folks don't know about. If you're a senior and have a Kroger reward card then you can get an extra 10% off on any Kroger label product, even if it's on sale.

As of six days aqo, but I've been trying to get discounts whenever I can, since 55. The discounts range from 55, not too many, to 62. But aren't most at 60? I hope so. Heck, half my life is now over, bummer!

You better believe I know about that discount. If I can get it on sale and an extra 10% off, it is a win, win, win situation.

I'll be 60 in May, and proud of it and I take any and all discounts I can get. They guys I play golf with are all about 10 years younger than me. I still can out drive them most of the time, but when I turned 55 I started getting the Old Farts Discounts and I moved up to the Senior T's. Now they cant even get close to me on drives - lol

Fortunately, we don't always get what we deserve.

One of my favorite discounts is golf for seniors. When I feel good enough, I can walk 9 holes for about $8-10.

2. Just did my taxes and got to claim the3 senior citizen tax credit.
3. I am look old enough now that I usually don't have to ask but get senior discounts automatically.
4. I must be getting worse cuz people dont look at me funny when I park in the handicapped zone or ride the scooter around Walmart when I feel bad.
