Hey all!
I'm on the market for my first kayak, and I really like the new ride 115. Anyone fishing out of the new 2012 model that can tell me pros/cons from their experience?
Any info would be appreciated.
Happy fishing!

I have a buddy of mine that had one that I paddled this summer. Great little kayak! I have the 135 and can tell you nothing negative about it. The seat is very good and can fish all day without my butt, back and legs bring tired. The 115 will be a little wider so the stability will be greater but won't be as fast sd the 135.

Hey Bassfishing...thanks for the info. I was wondering how comfortable the seat was. I'm definately looking for the stability which it was drew me to the Ride series in the first place.

My offer still stands if you wanna paddle mine before you decide to buy. I'll even drive a few miles north to Austin if that is better for you.

I paddled a new Ride 115 for 2 days before I got my Ride 135 and it's an amazing boat! Handles well, tracks well, decently fast and lots of rigging options! You won't be dissapointed!

I have the new Ride 115. it was my 1st kayak. I got it in Sept. I and love it. It is stable, fairly easy to turn but doesn't turn so easy that every little breeze blows you around. I have friends that have a Coosa and they think the ride tracks a lot better on flat water. My only real comparison is my Jackson Cuda and that’s not really apples to apples at all. My Cuda is a track machine, but it takes a good deal more effort to turn it 180 than my ride.

The rides seat is very comfortable for even all day. I am 53 years old and I don’t get too stiff in the rides seat. The Cuda/Coosa seat in the high position is more comfortable but the rides seat very nice as well and it’s a dry seat. It sits up off the floor about 1.5 inches, and it is adjustable for and aft. The only thing you may or may not like is the tank well will fit a crate and that’s about it. I think the ride 115 is actually a bit more stable than my Cuda.

Heres a few pics of me and my ride from earlier this year.
