Just planed a last min trip to Amistad Lake for this weekend. I have not heard anything in a while about the lake. Any help on what they are hitting on and water depth would be GREAT!!!!!!

It has been pretty slow at Amistad, My LMB's have been coming off of points and ledges using cranks. Going back next month if weather allows.

We wore them out Tuesday and Wednesday. No giants but the pattern was consistent everywhere on the lake. All of our fish came in less than 12 feet of water except for one. Solid 2 to 4.5 pounders.

Sounds like amistad has been slow for a while now. I hope some of this warmer weather gets them stirring. When Amistad is hot it sure is a fun lake to be on. Oh hell who am I kidding it's always fun!

Loc: WEST TEXAS USA I fished a tournament there this past weekend. it was tough but still caught em. honestly, I never got a bite any shallower than 30' of water. caught em from 30'-50'.
mainly all 1 oz. football jigs on rock ledges, rock bottoms, and points. many a crawdads puked up in my live well each day.
I did talk to several guys that were catching shallower fish but I couldn't get any to bite.
If your just looking to catch fish and size is of no concern, go up river and fish deep with slabs. you can catch little ones all day. find em on your graph and drop the slab over the side and they'll knock the paint off of it.
best of luck. its been a little tough down there lately.
