There is a ok bite shallow near drop offs on cranks and jigs. I have been catching some in 2-7 ft for the most part.Big wood near drop offs are key on good channels or creeks/drains. Shad patterns on cranks and my Viper XP Jig in a 3/8 oz purple passion is very good. West/East arms are working for me. Size is good but numbers are low.Have not been able to get a good deep bite. Good Luck.

+1 don't expect many bites, we caught 4 the other day (we did fish deep for the first half of the day with only sandies to show for) but when we moved up to the back half of a creek channel and flipped the trees on the channel and threw squarebills we caught a couple.
