I'm going to be fishing Port Lavaca on the weekend of the 27-28th. First time and will have a small boat. We plan on staying at Magnolia Beach. If you have any tips/spots for this area it is greatly appreciated. I usally fish surf/jetties but do have some experience in the bays but not this one. Thanks in advance.

Matagorta bay is nasty when the wind blows, small boat you can put in at powderhorn and go sight fish reds in the back.
