Too much dark color, especially around the gill plate. But I'll get the hang of this sooner than later.

Oh, I definitely will fish it. I did a couple of red craw patterns that I posted about a month ago, and I've caught at least 55 on the red/gold (Rayburn Red) pattern. THAT has been extremely satisfying, and keeps me motivated to paint more lures.

I need to set up a drying motor so I can coat them with epoxy instead of enamel. Anyone have a 6-8 rpm motor they would sell cheap?

Try a BBQ rotisserie motor, it should be slow enough to work and you can set it up the way you want it.

looks good. you can buy em cheap on ebay. Look for rod building dryers.
