Been thinking about going to the 380 green belt and see if any crappie or sand bass have moved in yet. Anyone tried it yet?

The boat in your sig will be fine in there. Not sure about going out to the lake from there though. Might have to carry it across the entrance. The mouth was 2' deep when the lake was up.

Crappie weren't biting when I tried last week. I think a few sandbass were cooperating but I suspect with no release from the dam at Ray Roberts and the water so low at the lake, it will remain slow throughout the spawn. Years ago I tried to float from 380 to the lake when it is this low but I didn't succeed. At one point you'll get a massive log jam. There is a side channel to the east but it will set up into muddy flats that may be too shallow for your boat. The side channel can fill up with logs too.

They need to build a real boat ramp there.

I was told that the boat ramp and been flooded with mud and that there is a cement ramp under it they just have not dug it out. With my 8ft 2 man I don't need much of a ramp LOL.
I think I will wait for more rain before taking out the boat Thanks all for the info.

Oh as to Ray Roberts I was up there about a week ago and yes they have not opened the gates so its low up there to.

I doubt they open the gates much if at all this year with the lake low.

Yes there is a boat ramp that has about a 4 ft drop off at the top, My custom electric two man boat sits on a custom built trailer and I need a real boat ramp.
My boat weighs about 200 lbs and I am not as strong as I used to be. I might get it in but I would never get it out without a crane.
