Sorry for the lengthy delay to post this due to recent medical problems on my end.

So here is the January Catfish Calendar from the RTF version. Below is the KEY. And below that are January's YellowCat Basic pattern. The Calendar shows the strongest day of 4 possible types, but the YellowCat pattern is there regardless, even if hidden.

Lynn’s Catfish Calendar- January 2012

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Lynn’s Catfish Calendar- KEY:
YC = YellowCat // BC = BlueCat // BFT = Buffet (assorted) // ZIP = Zip (not very good)
Tip- Always bait out lines the night before a YC or BC day.
Tip- Gator Gars run ahead of YellowCats, so bait out late (between 11 PM to 1 AM).
Tip- BlueCats also bite good on YC days, but you can rack ‘em up on BC days.
Tip- Some variations or alterations are due to weather or other external influences.
Tip- For Rod-n-Reelers, use Solunar Tables (etc.) also for best times with my calendar.

For those who need further info or background on my Catfish Calendar, here are the links to ...

Catfish Calendar threads on TFF:

Now if you want a little info on the Catfish Calendar, I had a big article published by Central Texas Catfish in the May 2008 28 page issue. The article was posted on TFF in the 2010 Catfish Calendar thread. Should be on the first page in 3 sections:
<http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/5176857/1>

2011 Catfish Calendar thread, which also notes 3 options as to how to get the Catfish Calendar:

Yes I am, but I've been delayed a tad.

Sick since early to mid November. Finally had to drag my butt into the ER Tuesday the 3rd. They buckled me in for 2 days of trying to get my blood pressure out of the heart attack/stroke zone & tests. $22,000+ worth (most expensive 48 hours in my life). Never felt worse in my life. Had Congestive Heart Failure-swollen heart & pumping only 20 to 25% capacity. Plus it would beat normal then skip to a faster pace, then back to normal again. They are still trying to get my BP down to below 150/100. Anyways, I am back at work & slowly recovering. Managed to get 30 hours in last week. But was tough.

As to printed calendar (full version), my best estimate is mid February due to the health bit slowing me down. I forget, if you are not on the free Calendar Crew e-mail group, then PM me your E-dress (or send to <hlynnh@peoplepc.com> & I'll kick you out the 1st Quarter RTF version (Jan/Feb/Mar) to tide you over until I get the full version set up. Let me know, as I check email once a night, then check TFF.

Appreciate it! Yes, I will be glad to get back to full warp power. This impulse power is way too slow for me.

Here is your February 2012 Catfish Calendar.

Sorry for delay, had a rough week, as my stomach & throat were giving me problems. And to top it off, the Blood Pressure was way up there once again. They increased my dosage, but it seems its working the opposite way.

After last week or past 2.5 weeks worth, many lakes are getting a reprieve & getting close to their normal level, while several still have missed getting the wet stuff.

We were lucky to get a reprieve, because we are slated for a big & long drought which will last some 7 to 10 years. The Earth runs in cycles, as does weather patterns, and civilizations. Currently Lake Limestone is about or a little below where it stood last year about this time. In June at the Central Texas Catfish Youth Catfish Tourney at Running Branch Marina, a few of us could still get out thru the pass. It was tough, but bigger boats could not. From that Father's Day weekend the water levels just kept getting lower & lower. It got down to just a bot more than 10' low. All public & marina ramps were closed. Only if you had access with a smaller boat could you tote it down to the water level. As I have said, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. I saw several went to options such as a kayak to keep on fishing until water levels would hopefully adjust somewhat. I had to use my sister's 12' Porta-Bote. However, I have been told I cannot use it again until I am better, so I don't fall out of it once again. My fishing's been curtailed because of recent health issues. If it had not, I would surely be out there. So my hopes & wishes right now are with you, that you fish while you can. It's a gift & blessing.

February [Leap Year] Moon phases-
Full Moon 7th Tuesday
Last Qtr 14th Tuesday
New Moon 21st Tuesday
1st Qtr 29th Wednesday (some list 1st- Thursday)

Also note I am listing the hidden YC (YellowCat) standard underlying pattern. If you print out the RTF version (it is converted & distorted some when posted on the TFF), you can circle those days that are key for YellowCats. On the Catfish Calendar, the strongest day of 4 types is listed. But that does not negate (or nullify) the YellowCat pattern I found back in the early 80s. Basically, or simplified, it is a 7 off/ 2 on/ 7 off/ 2 on/ 7 off/ 3 on & Repeat. It is what I refer to as a "roam-feed" circuit. The Gator Gars (GG) also run on this same exact pattern, but they bite just a little earlier than the YellowCats (YC) do. So if you fish for Gator Gars, you can use the YC days to key in on them as well.

February:
4/5 (Sat/Sun)
13/14 (Mon/Tues)
22/23/24 (Wed/Thurs/Fri)

Be Safe & Good Catfishing!

Lynn I am going to have to try your patterns out this next season on gator gar and see for myself. It would be interesting to see in person though I do not doubt your results.

Glad to hear from you. I've got one Gator Gar fisherman who checked his records of catches & non-catches (on Gator Gars) & said my calendar was spot-on (or something akin to that). So now he has a calendar guide to go by & see it into more depth. I can share that for Mother's Day 2011, it was a YC & GG day, so he planned ahead & bought his wife a new rod-n-reel & took her Gator Gar fishing for Mother's Day. And she got a very nice one (GG). She had a fantastic Mother's Day.

The biggest I've ever caught in the Trinity were 40 & 45#. I have not caught any really big ones on Limestone yet, but have caught as many as 4 or 5 on YC days. Of course now, you are limited to keeping only one. In case you are wondering, yes, we eat them here. Sometimes flour battered gar balls simply vanishes here as everybody devours them once they hear they taste like shrimp & bite in to see.

Anyone catch any yellow cats on Sunday? First Mate Stacy and I went for a while on Worth and got DCMed....of course the 3 potty breaks in two hours didn't help any...but that is par for the course when fishing with a 3 year old.

Not to worry Tom. You & Larry by far have shown that you can work miracles, as well as some others. The Catfish Calendar is only one thing that can enhance your catfishing. There are some really big ones that run rogue to the pattern. So while the volume might not be there, just that one Cat can make the trip worthwhile. I know you know what I'm talking about.

Also, there is what I call bleedover or overlaps, before & after the really good days. I target for BC & YC days.

I just always tell others if you go on a ZIP day, expect it to be tuff, but never give up. You may hit a school or even a single here & there of the remaining percentage (25 to 33%) that run rogue to the Catfish Calendar. Those still are great odds to catching Yellows & Blues.

Same thing goes for Tourneys fixed on bad days. There are many avenues & methods for still bringing in catches, even some very good ones. Experience as you well know, is the best teacher & learning experience. One Catfishermen during the Lake Fork Cat Tourney a few years back, gashed his boat. He was able to somehow borrow one & determined to still fish, at the end of the Tourney, he had the largest Cat, a mere 13#er or so ChannelCat caught on none other than shrimp.

Hey Lynn, can you post the March Calendar. I will admit that I thought your calendar was a bunch of BS. The last few months I have been comparing my catches to your calendar and I'm starting to see a pattern. I have done best on BC or YC days compared to zip days you're starting to make me a believer.LOL.

I use this calender to plan almost all my trips unless they are last min trips. I have noticed a big difference on ZIP days and BC or YC days.

Here it is. Runnin' Behind. You know what they say, "The Hurrier I get The Behinder I get".

Here's your Lynn's Catfish Calendar for March 2012. Below it are listings on Moon phases, as well as the Hidden YellowCat Day Pattern (of course some aren't hidden, but it is the pattern I found, as to the stronger YC days).

Glad to hear a few more of you are seeing that the Calendar just plain works. I didn't create it, I just discovered it by the power of observation. As more & more try it & share their feedback, it only helps me to tweak it out more & more.

Lynn’s Catfish Calendar- March 2012
Sunday / Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday / Friday / Saturday
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
XXX | XXX | XXX | XXX | | 1 ZIP | 2 YC | 3 YC
4 YC | 5 BC | 6 BC | 7 BFT | 8 BFT | 9 BC | 10 BC
11 BC | 12 BFT | 13 BFT | 14 ZIP | 15 ZIP | 16 ZIP | 17 BC
18 BC | 19 BFT | 20 BC | 21 BFT | 22 BFT | 23 ZIP | 24 ZIP
25 BC | 26 BC | 27 BC | 28 ZIP | 29 ZIP | 30 YC | 31 YC
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Here's your March Moon Phases-
1st Qtr 1st- Thursday (some say 29th Wednesday)
Full Moon 8th Thursday
Last Qtr 14th Thursday
New Moon 22nd Thursday
1st Qtr 30th Friday

And here are the Hidden YellowCat Days for March 2012
(The YC pattern of 7/2/7/2/7/3 & repeat, with the slight variance):
3/4 (Sat/Sun) [corrected from 2/3 on 2-25-2012 Saturday Early AM]
12/13 (Mon/Tues)
20/21/22 (Tues/Wed/Thurs)
30/31 (Fri/Sat)

(Due to a recent inquiry, I discovered an error in my circling of Hidden YC Days groups of 2/2/3.)

For the KEY, just back up a few posts. I should at least have it posted with the January Calendar.

As for CC (ChannelCats, I did not study or observe them, but for me, they tend to show up more on my lines on BFT (Buffet) days. However, one of you noted they tend to catch more CC on another day. I will have to look back in my notes to see what day they had better catches of them on.

Here's your April 2012 Lynn's Catfish Calendar ...

I might even get to go do some fishing this month. Blood Pressure finally coming down after upping dose on both of them, plus 2 garlic pills a day.

Lynn’s Catfish Calendar- April 2012
Sunday / Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday / Friday / Saturday

Here are your Hidden YellowCat days for April 2012 (according to the 7/2/7/2/7/3 & repeat pattern). There is overlap in the middle of each month. These are definitely the prime time to focus on:

8/9 (Sun/Mon)
17/18/19 (Tues/Wed/Thurs)
26/27 (Thurs/Fri)

Here are your Moon phases for April 2012:

Full Moon 6th Friday
Last Qtr 13th Friday
New Moon 21st Saturday
1st Qtr 29th Sunday

As for the 2012 hard copy (full year), I'm still working on it. I have so many irons in the fire currently plus little things that are delaying the completion. It's enough to drive ya nuts. But I'm not gonna stress out about. I will get there when I get there. And then I'll inform everybody.

Meanwhile, enjoy the full reservoirs. It may be a brief reprieve.

Good Luck & Good Catfishing!
