Wild Carp Companies is proud to announce the inaugural season of the Wild Carp Club of Austin, Texas. There are 8 sessions scheduled for the 2012 season. All sessions are free to attend and Carp anglers of all experience levels are welcome. Anglers will earn scores based on the weight and type of Carp caught during club sessions. Scores will accrue over the course of 8 sessions and year-end prizes will be awarded. Participants must be at least 16 years of age and hold a valid Texas Freshwater Fishing License. Children under 16 are welcome to attend and fish, though their scores will not be counted toward season point totals. Anglers are welcome to arrive and depart at any time during club sessions—just check in and out with club directors. Wild Carp Club may be competitive in nature, but it is mostly about having fun and meeting fellow anglers. Always maintain good sportsmanship and be courteous to other club members. Let's get a roll call of who's going so i can decide if we are crowding the boat ramp swim or the long bank closer to the dam. I will be there with my wife and kids. Hope to hear some good reports.We can't make it Scott. I packed our gear away for a while.Lack of time and funds for bait and gas.We've been eating our remaining fish bait.Hearty breakfast of oatmeal and side dish of corn in evening.Anyone got a recipe for cattle cubes?

Today was a successful 1st session for Wild CArp Club of Austin. Kevin Oliver took the lead with a 34-7 smallmouth buffalo and Mike Wheeler landed a 31-4 smallmouth buffalo with 3 minutes to spare. It started out very cold and slow but ended with 2 nice fish. Pics to follow
