I'm in. Need to confirm with my wife but I'm sure it's fine. Does it have to b 9? Can it b 8 or do they start biting usually 9ish.

On the time, this is the earliest I can go taking my wife and several others. They are paddleing and I am fishing.
If you can go earlier go for it, for LMB fish rocks on right for Crappie go under rail road bridge and fish the trees
I will be in a yellow Coosa
Look forward to meeting you

Same here if I can get out for the day I will be out there in my Green Coosa. I am not much of a Crappie fisherman, but would love to learn a bit and bring some home.

Ok Palovik, and the gang, I am good to go. I have spoken with my bass club and there may be one who might show. I only had 5 show up in the meeting today and most are going out of town for whatever reason. But I am definitely ready. Am thinking about picking up a Lowrance x-4 whatever whatever. Any thoughts on this particular fishfinder model? PM if you have thoughts on it.

just cleared the schedule I am 100% for Saturday morning. I will be there between 8 an 9 am.
Chess, I think you were there the first time I ever put my first kayak in the water. It was an Ascend and I think you had a pelican and carried it on your roof? October/November of 2010

Excellant if anyone needs something please let me know, would be happy to bring what ever.
On fishsinder get the biggest screen you can afford, but like both Lowrance, Eagle and Humminbird. Advantage of Humminbird is it comes with temp sensor built into the transducer. But that would slso mean you need to have it located in the water.

You can put a track on your Coosa with Gear track. I am putting some of this on my Cuda. Mariner Sails has them hanging on the wall. Gear Track from Yak Attack

Any sandies been caught trolling the area lately? I obviously will bee trying my luck out on the cats, but may have to fish for something else if the cats don't want to play.

I will be there. probably at around 8am. I hope that Palovik will be there to show me the Crappie goings on. Can't wait. I have two games to coach tonight so I will be there in the morning tired but working on excited fumes.

I will also be there. When you put it if you paddle out to the left, I seem to always catch drum over there. I am brining a rod for Cat, a rod for LMB and a rod for crappie. Crappie is my goal though. I don't seem to be very good at catching Cat so maybe Chess can show me a thing or two. I need to go buy a few circle hooks tonight. what size would be best for the cats?

I use 8/0 gama circles.... But i think even a 6/0 would be fine.
I to am hoping to learn a thing or two about crappie fishing.

Wow sounds like I better show up with some game on, will try and find some minows in the morning, that works best, but have jigs just in case. Small poles with light line is the key, say no more than 10lbs line, and a flexible pole, will bring several extra ones. The flexible pole Sets the hook for you, can not wait sounds like fun!

I just put the x4 on the yak and tried it out this afternoon. It seems to be working really well. It has the temp but I am using the water bath setup, its seems pretty close after the kayak was in the water for a couple hours. Academy has it on sale also.
