Hit fisherman's supply on the east bound side of 30 and you should be able to get minnows it is just west of bobtown, or you can hit CT's out towards wal mart in Wylie before you head that way.

It was great getting out and fishing today. Great to see you again Chess and nice to meet Mkdm and Palovik today as well. I wish I would have kept the camera close. I watched that big fish get away from Mkdm and should have been taking pictures of him fighting it. Here is my only picture from today. Palovik took a picture of all of us that he should be posting soon. <hint>

Great meeting you guys: TexasSteve, then Palovic and his wife, then uh, sorry, can't remember the man who came out with his grandson, and then the catfish king Chess101. I love getting out on the water.
Beautiful day, and man I thought that I had snagged my lure but turned out to be a monster fish that rotated my kayak twice, buzzed my drag 5 or 6 times, made a giant splash on the other side of the railroad bridge pillar, and then doink, my lure landed on the opposite side of the kayak. Wow, that was a fun two minute fight . Glad TexasSteve was there to see it actually happen. Fun fun.
Also enjoyed demoing the Jackson from Palovic. It sure does sit up high. I didn't mind standing up in it as well.
I will have a nice story to tell my bass club. Thanks. Can't wait til we go out next weekend. Wish I could go out tomorrow.

The man and his grandson...that would be me. Had to come out and meet y'all and gather info on getting my 'yak rigged up...well, after I buy one!!!!

I ended up doing honey-do's most all day so I KNOW your day was better than mine. Can't wait to join in on the fun.

Jerybign, great meeting u and your grandson. And ditto that selling of ur boat and getting a kayak. I occasionally go out on someone else's boat but I love to kayak. And fishing from it is an awesome challenge. I loved trying out the Jackson. And I know you will like paddling around in it. I know I will be telling my father about it. He's 73 now and still loves to fish. I went out with him this past summer, in Sarasota Florida, we rented some yaks, but his back hurt afterward. I think that the Cuda/ Coosa will eliminate that somewhat.

Sounds like a fun day and lot's of new fishing buddies made. Wish I could have come out there, but at least I can read great posts like this one. The ranks of the N. Texas kayak anglers is growing quickly, due mostly, I think because of posts like this one. Good job, guys, on getting out there, wetting hooks and welcoming the new yak anglers.

PS: Chess....nice haul. Your new call sign should be Kitty Whisperer. flehan

Cool! I really thought about coming, but I couldn't get my daughter up before 9 am. So when she got up we went south instead of east. Looks like good times though.

B_Rod we missed you, could of used some fishing techniques!

Txwhitacre, Mike we missed you, would have been great to have a look a like Cuda out there. We need to plan something over at PK or another lake, to make it easier for yourself and others in that area.

Would need your help not familuar with that lake at all. let's try and get something going soon, would be a nice time and a chance to do some fishing.
