1. There should be bungees attached to your side carry handles. Those are paddle holders. You lay your paddle parallel to the side of the yak, nestled right above the side handle, stretch the bungee over the paddle shaft, and hook it on the hook just inside the cockpit. Also, on the bow, between the hatch and the front carry handle, is a bungee running across the bow with a rubber circle. This rubber piece allows you to quickly slip the blade of the paddle under the bungee.
2. It's a great idea. The Jackson Cuda comes standard with one and it helps out amazingly well. It would be easy to install one on your yak. When you attach it to the yak, use a stainless steel bolt, nylon locking nut, and large backup, so that it won't pull through the yak when you're using it.
3. You can use your regular paddle just fine. Or you could get a stand-up paddleboard paddle. If you plan on doing a LOT of standing and moving, then a paddleboard paddle is nice to have. However, if you don't plan on moving around much while standing, then a paddleboard paddle will probably just end up in the way when you fish and paddle normally.
