They do work I had one on a 7ft net with about 2.25 lbs per ft. And I worked every time. Until my dog chewed it up! They are worth it if you don't know how to throw a net saves a lot of time. I did seem to make a few people mad because I would go and throw my net 2 times and catch all the bait I needed and they hd been there for hours tryin to catch some.

Just learn to throw it the right way and you'll never need a big plastic disk to have to keep up with.

ds i can throw a net as good as most,if not better..i was just pointing out that stretch it lift it and chunk it is way faster and easier than dividing it,biting it, throwing a wet net on your shoulder blah blah blah...you could walk to work but i bet you drive..it's human nature to try to find a more efficiant way of doing things

Throwing a net isn't automatic. I have seen 8 year old kids that can throw perfect circles every time. I myself had thrown the net literally 1000s of times using just about every method you can you find on youtube and I still stink at throwing the net. Persistance or finding a fishing buddy who can throw better than I can have served me well.

I just have to dispell the myth that anyone can learn to throw the net well.

I learned this past weekend when throwing my net out of my boat standing on the casting net it allows more time for the net to open vs my driveway. I get bigger circles!

Regarding the ring, well my therapist told me that "I will never grow as long as I am contempt prior to investigation"
