Got a late jump this year, but I'm on the board for 2012. Maybe 5 lber or so. Took pic and released to spawn in the spring. Fear the beard, bass! LOL

Thanks everyone. Not bad and wasn't expecting it. I went out for an hour just to tinker with a new rod and reel and BAM!
TXFISHIN... I've caught a bunch there over the years. Gets tons of pressure, but the majority of guys don't know what they are doing (I'm far from a pro, but hopefully you know what I mean).
Good place to mess around when you don't have time to get the boat out or just want to screw around. I take my kids out there and they catch little fish under bobber and worm while I fish for the piggies. The bank beaters that are lazy and litter are really turning into trash though.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It can get pretty good out there pre and post spawn if you play your cards right. Im good for a 5-6 lb'r a year out there. Its been a few months since ive fished out there though.
