I am new to the site and so glad there are some yakers here too. A lot of yakers hibernate during the winter, glad to see I am not the only one out there on the chilly water. I have been hitting the crappie pretty hard and having a blast. I live on lake Arlington. Arlington is not my first choice, but I can't help it since its right there in the back yard, and I been fishing the lake for over 20 years. I have already met a couple of y'all here and look forward to seeing more yakers on the water.

I had no idea Lake Arlington had good crappie fishing. I may have to give it a run.

And welcome to the forum!

Maybe we should plan one of the GTG on Lake Arlington.

I tie my own flies and jigs, but slabs? Can't say I have done that. I have done just a little bit of smelting, but mostly for my blacksmith stuff.
