I just got a bunch of 3D eyes in from Bog's Baits......they are awesome....

They give so much life to some plain jigs!! Cant wait to go dip a few of them, and see how they work!!!

This is my first swap, and can't wait to see what comes out of it!
Radtexan turned me on to Bog's Baits for the eyes... it was 11.00 for 500 assorted color eyes. They are really neat! And yes!! this is getting real addictive!

The ones in the picture are 1/16 walleye jig heads, and I believe they are the #4 Matzuo sickle hooks ( Bronze )
The eyes are Bog's 3mm .......I am probably going to order some 5mm for my 1/8 heads.
I modified my mold with some JB weld, so my heads would be collarless.

Very Nice jig squeaky!..

I love Bogs eyes, been using them for a while now.. He also throws a few bonus toys in the order too.

Yes... He threw in about 200 extra eyes.. I ordered the assorted colors with 500 eyes ( 2 orders) which should have been 1000 eyes.... And I got about 1200... Can't beat that!

do you guys ever use finger nail polish over the stick-on eyes, even after you've baked the powder paint?

I have been using the clear powder paint, but if you heat it too much...it clouds the eyes up.....I have been thinking about using clear fingernail polish though....Just have to keep it quiet....or the wife will start to wonder!!! LOL

I just got my Bog's eyes in to. I got 4mm for the 1/16 & 1/8. I think the 5mm would be better for the 1/8. Squeaky....those jigs sho are purdy. I really like that color combination.

Sally hansons hard as nails clear. Almost like epoxy. Works great as an eye overcoat. On chartruese, only do one quick coat. The chartruese color will bleed into the polish for some reason. But if you put it on with one pass and don't keep "painting" it, the color will not come off onto the brush.

Great looking jig Jerry...crappie poppie made some great looking jigs also I saw on your "unavailing" topic....can't wait to get some money saved up and get me a kit! After using some of Pats hand tieds, it's got to be a great feeling catching fish on your own stuff. Your imagination can build better than any store bought hands down! IMO
