You said Texas but TNT makes a great jig too. I think they are in Arkansas. http://www.tnttackleonline.com/
Tim is a great guy to deal with too.

Take a look at their "Last Bite Jigs" They are really nice.

You can't go wrong with any of the jig makers mentioned here. Order some and try them out. Sooner or later the jigs you order will have to be replaced and if you like what you have been using order more and if you don't order from another. Bet you will be happy with your first choice.

I don't know who was making jigs first, but those are the spitting image of SlabMeSilly Jigs

Not going to take sides here at all. But there is no reason at all to buy hand tied jigs from any other state when you can get the best there is right here in Texas. In no particular order at all here is what I use on Palestine. It just depends on what time of year it is and where the fish are. I switch allot until I start catching fish. I absolutely love hand tied jigs. But honestly, there are times when the plastics will just out produce for me. I would love to fish nothing but hand tied jigs, I just have not got to that point yet. I loves me some Crappie fishing!

I can't say who makes the best jig in Texas, but here is what I can say.I've only bought from CV and here is why. A sent him a PM asking about jig colors on certain lakes, he gave me his number and said for me to give him a call. The man spent over an hour on the phone with a total stranger asking me about my experience, beginner, novice , etc...Anyways I ended up purchasing some from him, I have since placed more than my share of orders with him. I also not to long ago asked him the price on some custom colors. He ended up mailing them to me, and told me to only pay if I liked them. All I saw was a picture of them on here and sent him the money for them. I have never had any issue dealing with him, he also makes a quality product in my opinion. His customer service is off the chart,it beats Walmart and Academy. Whom ever you choose to buy from, I'm sure you will be more than pleased with their product. Good luck.

Atleast you converted over to Jigs... Steve was a minnow guy as well. I recall asking you all about using jigs at H & H when Steve and i saw you and your fishing buddy, and it was clear yall were minnow guys.... now minnows do have their place, but i prefer jig fishing....

Yes Crappiehappy its much easier with minnows but there is so much computition in the lakes some times you need to switch we still used minnows at times here in the last 6 or 7 months its been jigs. I havent seen yall in a while well heck i havent fished in a while right now i am getting ready for my up coming bass season and thats where I do all my scouting for crappie holes on Cedar Creek.
