Canyon Bass Club of San Marcos hosted their first monthly club tournament at Bastrop on Sat, Jan, 14th, 2012. Tournament started at 7am and was over at 3pm. Twenty three club members fished and one Junior Member. (this was a paper tournamnt) 9 members had a five fish limit, 5 members had a four fish creal and so on and so on. Top 5 fish stringer weighted 23.23, 2nd place at 16.87, and 3rd at 16.70. Those top three fisherman boated; combined; over 40 fish. As a club totl.....240.57 lbs. That's an average of 10lbs per member. The top three stringers came out of the hot wate discharge although they were not generation, but only cycling. Chartrues at this time of the year for most area lakes should be the key, however on Bastrop they wanted white or silver. Moving extremely slow........ GREAT DAY AT BASTROP.
