So the fishing was horrible, but we all had a great time.
I got there Friday morning at 9 and my buddy Mark was waiting for me. We got lines in the water ASAP. The water looked awesome. Glass. After that, we proceeded to get set up with the tents and of course beer.
You should have seen my little truck packed like the beverly hillbillies..lol
The action was S L O W, and the weeds were managable, but still pretty thick.
As mentioned before, we only caught 5 catfish total. There were no less than 15 lines in the water and no one caught a carp or a buff.
Anyway, lots of spades were played. My buddy James and I played spades when we were in the army and we dominated.
I wish I had more to report, but other than hanging out with good company and major boozin', it was pretty low key.
It was an awesome time though. I can't really call it a fishing trip, since the fishing was bad, but we camped like a champ.

Sometimes that's just they way it goes,,,,,,but the nice part about it is that you to share the banks with fellow anglers,,,, trust me could have been worse if one guy caught 15 fish There's always the next time, and that will come soon enough

A good time is all that matters. Fishing did get slow when the clouds and wind rolled in on me.

I'll join the pity party! Rich n I blanked big today on lbl. Yesterday chris n I blanked in the same spot. It had been lightly baited all week long. I'm thinking that there was a big kill this year. It would explain the turtle explosion. I've seen turtles make dead fish disappear in a hurry.
