January 14,2012 I really enjoy fishing and catching fish. Even more, I enjoy taking someone that has never been saltwater fishing and catching their first Speckled Trout or Redfish. This was Christian's first time Saltwater Fishing and his first Speckled Trout. Christian came down from Idaho (where he loves to go fly fishing) for a visit, and his Father-in-law took him saltwater fishing ( what a nice Father-in law ). On his second cast Christian landed this nice fat Speckled Tout. Today was a tough day fishing, the fish just did not want to co-operate. We mainly fished the Neches River and Sabine Lake. The whole lake, north south, east, and west. We did manage a Grand Slam, but it took all day. Don't throw those Corky's away, they still work (see Redfish). We threw everything in the tackle box, but everyone hung in there till the end. Anyway the fish are still there, the winter days can can be awesome or really make you work to catch fish. The other fishermen we talked to seem to be catching more Flounder than anything else today. Today we had to work hard to catch fish, but we really enjoyed sharing a beautiful day on the water chasing fish. www.luckylindycharters.com
