Well yesterday we (the 7 Lavon Compadre's) got a slip at Lake Lavon. 4 of us met to look at available slips but the choice was really easy. Most available slips were on the outside barn on the north side with sunlight most of the time. But our minds were quickly made up when she showed us a slip in the middle of the middle barn in 12-15 ft of water that was almost completely shaded most of the time. There were already guys fishing all up and down the dock. There were large boats on lifts on both sides so that created additional shady areas to fish. Hands down, dream come true. I signed us up. I am so glad that thi encouraged us to go out yesterday. That slip would have been gone if we had waited another two weeks. BMFScout is bringing cedars and bull squat is bringing concrete blocks to sink em with. Looks like our little group of seven may become the "Magnificant Seven" ....that's a movie for you youngsters. Thanks Ernest and Mark for your advise on picking, it came in handy. We should be posting some slab pics in the near future. The guys on the dock said they were limiting out last week. I plan on going out sometime this afternoon with the wife and letting on of those slabmesilly jigs do its thing.
If you are asking how much a year.... it was $1815 if you prepaid or $165/mo if you wanted to pay by the month. We (7 of us) prepaid at $259.28 ea plus $10 deposit for the entry card.
That's great how they would let 7 go in on the slip.I have a slip at Pope's Landing at lake Fork and we have 4 in together. It's a $1,000 a year which breaks down to $250 each.We kill them all spring and summer on the slip. It's in 25 ft of water.Great investment
TOO FUNNY.... I Like the F Troop. I am old enough to remember watching the F Troop. A lot of similarities to crappie fisherman. I have a margarita grill that goes on my hitch on the back of the truck. Our first day at the slip when we are sinking cedars, we plan on a dog cook-out and beer to celebrate. I would love to find a vertical rod locker where we could leave a rod there....but one living in my truck will work too.
