Had a late morning start with my old friend BigDad yesterday. It was great, we were in his boat and all I had to do was fish and of course sort out his long rambling stories.

The fish can be caught, but you must work for everyone of them. It was easy at first. A few gulls were working and we landed one after another for a brief time. The gulls are the key. Joe stopped every time he spotted the gulls just sitting on the water. Most times the fish would be in the area. It is difficult to believe, but most fish were on the bottom in 45 feet of water. See them on the graph and they can be caught. Joe landed three keeper hybrids (see photo) and I got three also, but they were under 18". The three and four inch Dead Assassins were the ticket. The white bass were of the magnum variety. None were under 12". It was a beautiful day out with low wind. This was my first trip out this year. The virus has had me disabled up till now. I want to go again!
