Does anyone know what the crappie fishing is like on Canyon lake? Think of dropping some christmas trees.

It has been slow in the lake. Some of the guys say it has
been fair up river. The water level is 10' low, so I have not
gone upriver. The Cor of Eng will want you to have a permit,
if you put your trees out in daytime. What they don't know
will not hurt them.

Or perhaps you could just get the gps coordinates for the already dropped brush. I've heard some hold fish, but I have no personal experience.
