I was thinking about getting a radio/speakers put in my boat and was wondering if anyone has experience with Lowrance SonicHub? It looks awesome, but I havent been able to find any reviews or info online other than what is on the Lowrance website. Any insight on sound quality, user friendliness, pros/cons, etc. would be appreciated!

They are great. The speakers are good but could be better.
You can use your iphone, ipod or memory stick. Very user friendly. I will have it in my next boat for sure.

Thanks, Shawn. Do you sell or install them? Please PM details if you do.

I have the sonic hub in my boat and the speakers are much much better sound than what you can get at your local tackle store. I have an ipod with over 13k songs on it and i just leave it in there. I like it cause it doesnt draw any more power than what your graph is pulling already. No need for seperate radio and cutting big square holes in your boat. I give it a BIG thumbs up!!!!!!!

I HAVE ONE AND LOVE IT, THE SYSTEM WORKING THRU YOUR LOWRANCE UNIT MAKES IT SIMPLE AND CONVENIENT, AS FAR AS THE SPEAKERS I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL UNITS AND UNLESS YOUR IN A WAKE BOAT WHERE YOU CAN MOUNT 68 SPAEAKER TO THE TOW BARS I DOUBT YOUR GOING TO IMPROVE BY VERY MUCH.

It's definitely worth it..... It only costs $300 and runs through your existing graphs. Buying a traditional boat stereo is much more expensive and the sonic hub works just as well.

Where do you install the speakers? Do you have to get a sep am-fm to plug into it?

Here's a couple pic's of my sonic hub installation on my new 2012 Legend boat ALPHA 211.

Speaker mounted in rod lockers and the Sonic hub.

Sonic Hub deck mounted on my console.

Cool. So the speaker is facing your feet? Can you hear it well when fishing up front? How about when running?
