Got the call from Texas Parks and Wildlife today! My sons fish has been certified as State Junior Angler Record Blue Catfish and State Junior Angler Catch and Release Blue Catfish among others.
They said they had seven record certificates in total they were dropping in the mail today.
I cannot wait to break the news to him this afternoon!
He rattled em all off but was going fast. I am not certain but I think it is:
State Jr Angler Blue Catfish State Jr Angler Catch and Release Blue Catfish Lake Worth Record Blue Catfish Lake Worth Jr Angler Blue Catfish Lake Worth Catch and Release Record Blue Catfish
Not sure on the others, he just said there were 7 records total. I will update once I get them in my hands.
He said it was the "biggest deal" to hit their office on a while!
I got the Bryan-College Eagle Sports section (Thursday January 5th) that has a write-up on your son's pending records. Will mail it to you in about a week, happen to get 2 copies that day, as I got one at home while getting another one while in the hospital. Anyway, Super Congrats to your son & of course I am sure you are "beaming" as well.
Will keep my eye out for the follow-up & get an extra copy of that one too. I figure they will definitely do a follow-up. But will send the pending article this week. Just trying to think if it might be better to send in a tube to protect it.
