Went up to OKC this last weekend for a show in Oklahoma City and worked a booth for a local dealer, OKC Kayak.

Was really suprised at how many people stopped at the booth, and look at fishing kayak's. There was 3 of us in the booth and had people waiting to talk to someone. This Kayak fishing is really taking off, had a lot of people wanting to get started, and upgrading. Some people just can not afford to take out the big boat anymore and is a hassel to take it out.

Was suprised at the request for people looking for clubs and tournaments out of Kayak's. Think the new North Texas Trail Josh is working on well be a great thing.

Cool that you got to work a booth! I grew up around boat shows as a kid, my grandparents ran the old Junction Marina on Bob Sandlin in the 80s/90s and always got the hookup to the big boat shows.

Might make it by the DFW show that first Sat in Feb.

A bunch of us fly/yak fishers will be in a booth next to TFO.

I've worked many shows before and have had some long hours there. It can be tough that's for sure.
I'm hoping this one will be different though. I'll be able to help promote a sport that I really love, "kayak fishing"!
