I'm going to plan a kayak trip to the coast to target Black Tip Shark. I was wandering if anyone would know what time of year and what coastal town should I consider.

Bryan Beach near Freeport or Bolivar pocket near the north jetty in August are the most active times. Anytime in the summer, they come in pretty close

Sharks are most prevalent in the surf, so that's where you'll want to fish. Large live bait is best but cut bait and fresh dead will work great too. I've really good luck on freshwater fresh dead shad. The bigger the better.

You're limiting factor will be the wind. Spring time is the absolute worst time because of the wind and rough sea/surf conditions. July through October would be the best time frame.

As others have said, the beach front is great. Go out to 8-15 feet of water and free-line a good sized mullet on a 20/0 circle hook. They will collect in higher concentrations around passes.
