Nope, I don’t have one. It’s something I’d like to work on. I really enjoy the process of looking at a targeted bait species and trying to replicate it.
So what is your best croaker pattern? I know I can tie clousers, deceivers, etc. in “croaker colors” (and if you do this what colors are you using?), but I am also looking for patterns or ideas that simulate that hunchbacked profile and size (3, maybe 4 inches).
Any suggestions? Pics and links would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Give me a few days and I'll see what I can come up with. Right off the top of my head, a EP Peanut Butter will get you the hunch back you are wanting. Since it's a croaker, probably need to work in a rattle somewhere too. Might be able to tie one with EZ Body tubing as well. Just a few thoughts...

This is my first attempt... Gamakatsu SP11-3L3H.

White, yellow, and gray buck tail. Added the speckled feather and some gold barring in the yellow section, threw in some saltwater flashabou too. Did all the tying with white thread, but finish wrapped in light olive.
