I'm putting out some new piles. I have always used oak and christmas trees in the past. I was thinking of trying some cedar and was wondering what experiences all of
Y'all have had using this type of tree.
Thanks in advance.

Ernest patty uses cedar....I asked why and he said they last, and beavers don't eat them....willows in deep open water.

Cedars will work. I like dogwood trees. They have alot more space in them for the crappie to move around in it.

Used LOTS of cedar over the years with LOTS of success. Takes a couple months for the foliage to rot off, but after that...it's on!
