Hey guys! So i bought my first swimbait and need a little help from the swimbait masters out there. Is it a used with a steady retrieve, or are there more ways to use it. Also what kina equipment is best, rod, line, ect?

kinda hard to answer any of those questions without knowing what kind of swimbaits.. There are soft, hard, little, big, floating, sinking, and all sorts of other swimbaits and each fishes completely different

that bait is tiny... so i would throw it on a crank bait rod with 12 pound floro.. You arent going to be able to fish it deep so its going to fish best when the fish are shallow..

You cant go wrong with a huddleston.. The 6 inchers will pretty much catch any size fish there is.. They make a weedless and a top jig hook version.. Both work great.. Also make a rate of fall 5 and 12 for shallow and deep

One more question...are swimbaits seasonal or a year round bait!

A slow steady retrieve is hard to beat with most all swimbaits. As the water warms up I will add a little more action by occasionally pausing my swimbait then turning the reel handle fast for 2-3 times for an erratic look. Bass will follow swimbaits very often so make sure you work them all the way back to the boat. I have caught many bass just a few feet from the boat with swimbaits, hope this helps sir.
