Their are ponds by the ball park. I had good luck early summer, but then they went way down. I didn't see to many dead fish, so they should still be in there.

I caught, bass, catfish, perch and a Oscar. Biggest was a 2lb cat. Used mostly small spinners, curly mister twisters worms etc and small Inline spinners.

Nothing you want to eat, but it is on my way home, well lite and you can walk all the away around for a bit of exercise.

You can park in the ball parks lot off randall mill, if they have a person their, just tell them you want to fish, and they always let me park for free during games.

-good luck

I think he means rangers ballpark, the pond is on the north side of the ballpark.

You can also try Veterans Park, there are fish in there. I've been thinking of throwing a trot line in Randol Mill Park pond for a few hours then go back to see if there is any cats in there (there are perch there). The one on Arbrook holds fish from what I hear.

Randol Mill used to have small cats that I would catch when I was a boy. I'd be surprised if there were none in there, but I tried fishing it a few years ago and couldn't catch anything.

It is illegal to use trot lines in community lakes less than 75 Acres in size. On another note, it is full of bull heads.

Where's the best place to catch some decent size bass in this area? I've been driving to ponds in Irving for a while now.
