Well hell I guess I shouldn't be bothered by it. Just glad I got a few trips in this winter and enjoyed before some moron got online and made the annual announcement to drive in all the crowds.

Kinda hard to catch limits when you're playing bumper boats. Y'all have fun now, ya hear? Lol

Kind of harsh, but to be expected by some I guess. I enjoy fishing the banks... If my boat was running, I would not be worried about bumper boats....

Leanin post, there is a ramp called hamm creek, not sure if it us usable with the water level, I haven't been. I stay away this time of year because I don't like crowds.

plenty of river for everyone.. beside the fact that you can only launch your boat if you can carry it to the water. thats how low the water is

I thought crappie fisherman were nice guys....now I know why we use 10 foot + fishing poles....it's not to reach out there to the good spot, it's so you can smack someone out of they're boat without swapping paint!

I thought I heard from many that 90% of the fish live in 10% of the body of water, and I also heard that 10% of the skill anglers catch 90% of the fish being caught...

Since the drought has taken affect on all of us, I wouldn't worry about others catching all the fish, but more about catching a fist.

In previous winters, there are plenty of creeks to seek. This winter, there are plenty of seekers for an available creek. If we can share what little there is and promoting picking up ONE piece of trash on the way out, it'll be all better next year!

I figured that bit of humor would slide right past many. He doesn't really run an air boat, barndoor. He just figured if anyone wanted to fight, he'd let them fight with the air boat guys that buzz everyone on the river.

We have this same argument every year. The river holes are small and get crowded pretty easily. Next year, let's just post a link to this thread and skip the argument.

Been a LMB only guy forever.. Decided to go with a friend who likes to crappie fish. I like to eat crappie from what i can remember as a kid.. so, thought i would give it a try. Went to his spot caught a couple.. Dropped some trees in my boat slip.. Catch one after another..The crappie fight like a large perch.. I dont think i would drive to Cleburne or Lake leon or anywhere else for that.. especially when its so easy to create your own hotspot.. i dont get it, i guess. Maybe the fish fry this Sunday will enlighten me

I got a gripe PM once by some locals years ago for mentioning on the forum a spot I had probably been fishing well before they had and they were probably shown it by someone else. Even if there are fish, you still have to catch them. It was over white bass too of all things...not like there aren't a million of them out there to catch.

DAAYYYUUUMMM! I best be heading to Hamm Creek with all my friends!

Some people are just ridiculous when it comes to fishing spots lol.

Let this thread die out! Its over crowded there and aint enough fish for everyone like in years past. The water is very very low and you cant put in a boat. Its not worth the gas to get there!

P.S. If you do go, take your trash to the trash cans! Dont be the a-hole that leaves trash everywhere. That river has enough problems with the fish kills.

Those are Cedar Creek fish. CC has whites in it just like any other lake.

Thanks Hamm creek! All fish caught on cane pole with 30lb test, treble hook, baited with bubble gum....

Nice fish here....guy wanted to hold it, but I caught it......off bubble gum.

This was the biggest of the day, Found some guy in his back yard to hold it for me while I took the pic(it's a tricky phone, that's why I had him hold it) this fish has a 3pounder in him....he swallowed it while I was pulling him in....he's almost 9pounds....thanks again Hamm creek!
