OK, looks like Caddo is on: http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/7033061/Re_Caddo_is_Hot#Post7033061

I have been going to Caddo for several years in a row now. I love fishing for the yellow bass out there but they just weren't ready back in October when I went last; looks like they are ready now.

I'm looking for someone to go with me to split gas costs, it's about 3.5 hour drive from Arlington so it's a pretty good haul. If you have a boat and want to go; great. If you don't have a boat my option is to throw my 2.5hp outboard and trolling motor in the car and rent a jon boat at Johnsons Ranch for $15 (rather do that than pull my jon boat all the way there). I know the river channel well enough around Johnsons to put us on the fish. Expect to catch mostly yellows but plenty of crappie as well. I've even pulled in some LMB while fishing for yellows. Jigging and minnows.

Total for the trip maybe 50 to 60 bucks apiece but we can come back with 100 fish apiece. If you've never fished caddo and always wanted to let me know, looking for just one person. We would leave about 3:30am, fish all day, back to DFW about 7 or 8pm. There are guys that will clean your fish for you pretty cheap (lot of fish to clean) or bring your electric knife and plan to clean a lot of fish.

Looking to go sometime in next 3 weeks. I can drive if you don't smoke in car, if you want to smoke in car you drive.

Im goin to find the crappie this weekend, heard even a rookie can catch a limit of Slabs on the river right now!! If you come weekend after next and havent found anyone to ride down with ya, I'd be happy to take you out in my boat. I live in jefferson, so it wouldnt cost you nothing but gas down here! Let me know!! And ill keep you updated on my fishin report after I go saturday!

I've been fishing Big Cypress from 43 bridge down to 'Devil's Elbow' and doing well, finding cover with side scan and vertical jigging with Bobby Garland 'Cajun Cricket'. There is no length limit from bridge east, but there is no need to keep small fish.
