My buddy Justin and I had a crazy stupid trip to New Orleans, Louisiana chasing monster red fish and black drum. We sight fished to hundreds of 20-30+ lb fish over the course of 2 days. We had several doubles and landed hundreds of pounds of fish. It was one of the most epic fishing trips we have been on and we are ruined due to the fact no other place in the states can compare to the fishery in south Louisiana. We fished with Capt. Greg Moon (702-497-1673) for day one and Capt Greg Dini (407-538-0770) took us out on for the second day. They are awesome guides that we will be fishing with again, I couldn't say enough good things about these two Captains. We took hundreds of pictures and got some good video that I will be putting together soon. Do yourself a favor, if you are thinking of fishing anywhere for red fish take a look at NOLA and these two captains because you wont be disappointed.

WOW! Great video of what must have been the day of a lifetime on the salty stuff. As if the huge reds weren't enough, we get some Spiderbait too.

Bam bah lamb indeed.

I don't usually think too much about guided trips, but judging from the full day price on the website you provided, that's a screamin' bargain.

Finally. Hard to believe it has already been a week since we caught these. I'd certainly rather be taking the pictures than be in them!!! Lots of words to go with this stuff on Texas Fly Caster.

Definitely already figuring a way to get back there (on the cheap).

Awesome... that Red in the 2nd photo is a PIG!

I am going down in March, going to do a combination of kayak and skiff fishing... your trip report is giving me the pre-trip jitters!

You have nothing to fear but redfish the size of an average ten-year-old!

I ain't scared, I'm excited!

Hopefully I catch something ... most trips to the Delta I'm out on the water for a half day, see 4-5 reds and catch 1-2 ... although it seems like every 3rd trip I strike out (water clarity was a recurring issue in 2011).

One of these days I am going to get in on one of those "should have been there" redapaloozas I always read about on TFF ...

There is indeed some great fishing down in these marshes. I just recently got myself a different boat and plan to learn to fish these waters while I'm still here.
